Draft: Path of Exile 2 0.5.4 — Runes of Aldur Changes

Status: draft and under review. This is an unofficial editorial working document, not an official patch note and not a release recommendation.

Patch scope

The current editorial baseline is Path of Exile 2 Early Access 0.5.4. The recorded client verification version is 0.5.4d; its official notes list migration changes only, so this draft does not attribute Runes of Aldur, Liquid Verisium, Atziri, or Orb of Sacrifice mechanics to that hotfix.

The official 0.5.4 preview identifies four areas for this draft to examine: a Runes of Aldur Atlas Passive Tree, expanded Expedition customisation, level-scaling Unique Items, and a new currency item connected to Atziri's Temple. Those areas define the research scope; they do not yet prove a route, a build choice, an item value, or a boss strategy.

What this draft can state

  • 0.5.4 is the Patch baseline for the first content batch.
  • Expedition and Runes of Aldur systems need a current-Patch review before they are explained as a player workflow.
  • Items and skill-granting Uniques require in-game checks for names, requirements, behaviour, and restrictions.
  • Atziri-related currency and endgame encounter information must be checked in the PC client before any acquisition or strategy claim is written.

Work that remains under review

This draft deliberately does not publish numerical values, node effects, encounter phases, recommended skills, or build performance. The assigned fact reviewer must compare the original 0.5.4 and 0.5.4d announcements, then reproduce the relevant PC interactions on Standalone, Steam, or Epic Games Store before those details can be promoted into a verified article.

If the Hotfix changes a mechanic or fixes an interaction used by a future Guide, Item, Skill, Build, or Boss article, that article must remain in draft or return to under-review until it has been retested.

Planned follow-up articles

The planned content cluster starts with the Expedition Atlas and Liquid Verisium research topics. It can later connect to verified Item, Skill, Build, and Boss articles, but this draft intentionally has no public related-content links while every target remains unpublished.

Sources and verification record

PC verification is pending. Reviewer and verifiedAt are intentionally empty because this draft is not approved for publication.
